What Is A Bed Sore or Pressure Ulcer?

Bedsores are painful lesions that develop on someone who is bedridden or otherwise immobile. The bedsore in an area of damaged skin and tissue that develops from sustained pressure to that area. The bedsores often develop from continuous pressure against a bed or wheelchair. Bedsores develop in several different stages, from one to four, and leaving a bedsore untreated can often lead to serious infection or even death.
