Daily Harvest Recall – Food Poisoning Lawsuit
Daily Harvest issued a voluntary recall of its French Lentil + Leek Crumbles products on June 23, 2022, after more than 500 customers reported falling ill with gastrointestinal symptoms that led to significantly elevated liver enzymes. In many cases, patients reported needing to have their gallbladders removed.
An investigation revealed that many affected patients had consumed Daily Harvest’s French Lentil + Leek Crumbles prior to becoming sick. Patients reported experiencing symptoms such as severe vomiting, dark urine, itching all over, stomach pain, nausea, headaches, and fever. Many of these patients are now facing steep medical bills from ER visits and hospital stays.
Daily Harvest has regularly relied on a strong network of influencers to market its products. Now, multiple influencers who became sick after consuming the French Lentil + Leek Crumbles are alleging that, due to Daily Harvest’s underwhelming response to the outbreak, they feel obligated to warn consumers about the present risks of consuming this product.
Did you become ill after consuming Daily Harvest’s French Lentil + Leek Crumbles? If so, you might be entitled to take legal action against Daily Harvest for their negligence. You could pursue compensation for medical bills, lost income, and more. Product manufacturers have a responsibility to manufacture and market products that are safe for human use and consumption. When companies fail to uphold their duty of care, they can be held liable in civil court.

Products were distributed through a variety of channels, including online sales and home delivery, as well as at a Daily Harvest retail location in Chicago, Illinois, and a pop-up shop in Los Angeles, California. Some consumers also received samples of the product.
French Lentil + Leek Crumbles are sold frozen in white, 12-ounce bags. According to the FDA, all lot codes of the product are impacted. Customers who received the product via home delivery, and other customers for whom Daily Harvest had contact details, were notified of the recall.
