East Bloomfield, NY (May 19, 2019) – On Saturday afternoon, around 3:30 p.m., a USPS worker was seriously injured in a two-car crash at a local intersection.
According to police, the accident took place at the intersection of State Route 20 and Canaan Road. The New York State Police confirmed that a postal truck and a pickup truck were involved.
Police are not yet sure what caused the two vehicles to collide in the intersection. They claim that the postal worker was immediately airlifted, conscious and alert, to the Strong Memorial Hospital following the accident. The pickup truck driver was taken to the hospital by ambulance with minor injuries.
Police continue their investigation into the accident at this time.
