Flatiron District, NY (May 8, 2019) – A window washer is fortunate to be alive after falling approximately six-stories while working on Wednesday morning, May 8th. The incident took place at an unspecified time on Fifth Avenue in the vicinity of 22nd Street.
According to authorities, the worker fell from scaffolding outside of a building where he was performing his duties at the time. The unidentified man fell around six-stories to the ground and police were immediately called to the scene along with emergency medical crews.
Paramedics confirmed that the victim was conscious and alert as he was transported to a nearby hospital. His victims have been reported as non-life threatening at this time. Fifth Avenue was subsequently shut down in the area as police started their investigation, which is actively ongoing.
