Claverack, NY (April 9, 2019) – On Monday, April 9th, police arrested a substitute teacher and volleyball coach who worked with the Taconic Hills School District, according to authorities. 23-year-old Christopher MacArthur was arrested for engaging in a sexual relationship with a student at the school.
Authorities stated that the arrest came after an investigation into sexual misconduct by MacArthur. He has been charged with felony criminal sex act in the third degree after it was revealed that he had been sexually involved with a student under 17 for several months.
Police stated that MacArthur has since been arraigned and released on his own recognizance. He has been scheduled to appear in court on May 21st, according to authorities. Anyone who may have any information on this case is being asked to call 518-828-3344.
